Reblogging for obvious, personal reasons. I know everyone has a cause that is near and dear to their heart but I urge you read MAB’s post because it truly is terrifying how little awareness and funding there is for pancreatic cancer. Also, PanCan unlike other cancer “awareness” organizations *cough*susangkomen* cough* utilizes most of its funds for research—something that will truly make an impact.

And if you think pancreatic cancer isn’t something relevant to you? My mom had absolutely none of the risk factors for it and yet she died 5 short months after being diagnosed.
